(Iowa City, IA) -- The Iowa Department of Corrections is investigating the suspected suicide of an inmate.
The DOC says 44-year-old Terry Scott Dudley was found unresponsive in his cell at the Anamosa State Penitentiary on March 31st. He was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he was pronounced dead Friday afternoon.
Dudley was serving a life sentence, charged with the shooting murder of 20-year-old Curtis Pizinger of Waukee in 1997. His sentence began in May 1998.
