Cassie Riley of the Metro Waste Authority tells WHO Radio News last year more crews collected more than 6,000 tons of yard debris.

She also reminds spring cleaning homeowners to take advantage of the MWA's hazardous waste drop-off locations to get rid of items that should not go in the normal trash.
