AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State University's Athletic Director is staying in Ames for the next five years, and he won't be taking a pay raise.

In a news release, university President Wendy Wintersteen announced the extended contract this morning saying Jamie Pollard will continue as the Athletic Director until at least 2026.

"True to his servant leadership style, which has always been focused on others, Jamie accepted our extension enthusiastically, and has agreed to do so without an increase in compensation," said Wintersteen.

Pollard's tenure is the fourth-longest serving A-D in the Football Bowl Subdivision, the most competitive of Division I [[one]] N-C-A-A athletics.

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics also honored him as the 2019 Athletics Director of the Year.
