IOWA - The Iowa Board of Regents is not requiring students and faculty at the state’s three public universities to get COVID vaccines.
Regents President Mike Richards is strongly encouraging the vaccines, but not requiring them before the fall semester starts.
The University of Iowa, Iowa State and University of Northern Iowa are planning to be fully in-person in the fall.
Vaccinations at the schools have been complicated by this week's national pause in use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
