Ames man charged after chase near Iowa State University

(Ames, IA) -- A man's facing several charges after a chase in Ames. Iowa State University Police say they stopped the driver, 20-year-old Domoh Domoh, of Ames last night at Harris Street and Bellflower Drive, for traffic violations. Police say before they made contact, Domoh drove off, leading them on a chase before losing control of his vehicle near Lincoln Way and Franklin. Police say the driver then tried to run but was caught. Police found about four pounds of marijuana in his car.

Domoh was arrested on charges of: possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), failure to affix drug stamp, eluding, reckless driving, driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked, failure to respond to a steady red signal, excessive speed and improper rear lamp(s).
