NWS Says Summer Weekend Ahead

OMAHA, Nebraska -- May fires up with a heat wave.

The National Weather Service says Omaha could see temperatures close to the 90s on Saturday afternoon.

They say temps will stay in the 80s through the weekend and it'll be sunny.

A cold front could bring a chance for storms Sunday afternoon.

They say the warmest high on record for May 1st was 93 degrees in 1965, and temperatures are about ten-degrees warmer than usual for April 30th.
