(Polk County, IA) -- A Des Moines man's critically injured after a Des Moines area strip club shooting. The Polk County Sheriff's Office sys 30-year-old Derrick Smith was found shot in the Big Earl's Gold Mine parking lot, at 4745 NW2nd Street after 4 this (Sunday) morning. The sheriff's office took several calls about multiple shots being fired.
Smith was taken to a Des Moines hospital by ambulance.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from anyone that may have been present during the incident or know something.
