Pleasant Hill Man Faces Charges in Fatal Crash

(Polk County, Iowa) -- A Pleasant Hill man is facing charges in connection with a March crash that left an Illinois man dead.

Police say Zachary Willer is facing charges of vehicular homicide by reckless driving as well as Operating While Intoxicated. Investigators say the crash happened on March 9th, when the car Willer was driving hit a semi truck. One passenger died at the scene.

Willer and another passenger were rushed to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not hurt in the crash.
