CLIVE, Iowa - Iowa has the country's biggest winning ticket from Saturday's Powerball Lottery.
A ticket sold at a Waterloo liquor store is worth $2 million.
Whoever bought the ticket added the Power Play option, which brought the winning total.
The last Iowa Powerball winner was a ticket bought in February worth $500,000.
The ticket purchased Saturday in Waterloo initially matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball to win a $1 million prize. But the purchase of the Power Play option brought the prize to the Match 5 level to $2 million.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 12-17-20-21-26 and Powerball 8. The Power Play number was 3. No one matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, so the prize will be $168 million, or a lump sum of $117 million for Wednesday.
