DES MOINES, Iowa -- Gas prices in Polk County are lower than the average price in the state.
According to GasBuddy.com, prices are up in the last week and it's unclear if prices will continue up after a cyber attack that shut down the nation's biggest fuel pipeline network last Friday.
Gas Buddy's fuel insights show the average price for a gallon of gas in Polk County is $2.79.
Story, and Linn counties are also below the state's average at $2.79.
The average price in Scott County is $2.82.
The average price in Iowa is $2.82.
Prices are up four cents from the week before in Iowa.
Iowa's gas prices are 17th least expensive in the U.S.
