School Bus Carrying Students Crashes in Madison County

(Madison County, Iowa) -- No one is seriously hurt after a Madison Country school bus carrying students slid off the road and flipped onto its side Monday morning.

The Winterset School District Superintendent says the accident happened around 7:30am on a wet gravel road northeast of Winterset. He says the bus was carrying 10 students, all of whom were evaluated and released by emergency responders.

Another school bus took the students to an area hospital where parents could decide if they wanted a further examination by doctors.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says it will conduct a full investigation into the crash.
