Woman beaten, robbed, left unconscious in Des Moines

(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Police say a woman was robbed and beaten unconscious, then abandoned in a wooded area last week. Police say the 35-year old woman was with friends in a bar on the city's northwest side May 21st, and accepted a ride from two men and a woman.

Police say they first went to a convenience store. The woman was later found in the 24-hundred block of Hickman Road, and spent several days in the hospital getting treatment for her injuries, which include several broken bones in her face. Police are checking out surveillance video and have released a picture of one of the suspects.
