(Ames, Iowa) -- The Ames Community School District is accepting the resignation of superintendent Jenny Risner.
The Ames School Board of Directors announced today that Risner's resignation will take effect June 30th, the end of the fiscal year.
Risner had two years remaining on a three year contract. The Ames School Board says it will immediately begin recruiting a new superintendent.
