MONTEZUMA, Iowa - An 11-year-old boy from Poweshiek County is still missing after massive search Sunday
About three hundred seventy-five volunteers from across the state joined around 125 members of law enforcement to search for the Montezuma boy who disappeared last Thursday.
Xavior Harrelson was last seen Thursday morning wearing blue pajama pants and black shoes. The Sunday search took place on Harrelson’s 11th birthday.
The search team wore yellow vests as it worked through fields and wooded areas looking for any trace of Harrelson.
The volunteers and law enforcement teams were organized at Montezuma High School, which is near the mobile home park where Harrelson lived.
The search came nearly three years after Iowans spent weeks in the same spot searching for Mollie Tibbetts.
The Department of Criminal Investigation says the search for Harrelson will flank out to larger areas of land after there were no results Sunday.
WHO-TV reports a neighbor is organizing a rally to support Harrelson's family Monday night in front of the Poweshiek County Courthouse in Montezuma.
Samantha Rix says her son is one of Harrelson’s best friends.
The rally is set for 8 p.m.
