(Undated) -- A correctional officer was injured by an inmate this (Wednesday) morning at the Anamosa State Penitentiary. It happened as an inmate, who was in restraints for a hearing, became violent. An officer who helped another officer restrain the inmate suffered a soft-tissue injury in his arm. The officer was checked out at a local hospital.
The Iowa Corrections Department says neither the inmate or the other officer were injured.
