Iowa House Minority Leader Steps Down

(Des Moines, Iowa) -- Iowa's House Minority Leader is stepping down.

Democrat Todd Prichard of Charles City made the announcement Wednesday. He'll be leaving his leadership role after having led the Iowa House Democrats for the last three years.

Democrats will elect a new leader on June 14th.

Prichard will serve out his term in the Iowa House. He was elected to his 5th term in the Iowa House last year. Prichard is a native of Davenport, Iowa, an attorney, and a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.
