MONTEZUMA, Iowa - More information is coming out Wednesday about a reward for locating a missing 11-year-old Iowa boy.
Xavior Harrelson has now been missing from the town of Montezuma for almost two weeks.
The Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office confirms a reward had been established, and public donations to that fund are being accepted through the Montezuma State Bank.
Deputies say they'll have more details about the reward and other information today.
Some fishermen thought they had located Harrelson's body in the Skunk River Monday night, but it turned out to be a mannequin.
The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has been leading a probe into Harrelson's disappearance and has been joined by the FBI, which last Friday established a digital tip line.
DCI has stressed that it was a neighbor, not his mother, who first reported Xavior missing. The department says there's been little movement in their investigation and it’s not known if Xavior's disappearance is linked to an accident or criminal activity.
A print shop in nearby Brooklyn, Iowa that produced buttons, shirts and flyers after Mollie Tibbetts went missing three years ago, is doing the same thing now for Harrelson.
Harrelson was last seen at around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27. He was last known to be wearing a red t-shirt, blue pajama pants, and black high-top shoes. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and he is about 4′8″ tall and 100 pounds.
