(Des Moines, IA) -- Another new law signed by Governor Kim Reynolds this week requires Iowans to get help when they see someone in immediate danger. People could face at least a misdemeanor charge if they do not call police or emergency personnel when they reasonably believe an emergency is happening. The law was written after 15-year-old Noah Herring drowned last year at Coralville Lake in Johnson County. Three other teens and an adult witnessed the drowning but never called 9-1-1.
