Ankeny Do Not Flush List

(Ankeny, IA) -- Ankeny is reminding people to be careful of what they flush down the toilet. The city posted a picture on social media Sunday of the Rag Rack at the Ankeny Municipal Utilities Saylor Creek Lift Station. The rack collects items that could clog sanitary sewer pipes. The city has a long list of items it's asking residents not to flush down. Items like paper towels, diapers, rubber gloves, or socks. The long list is on the city's Facebook page.
