(Des Moines, IA) -- Western Iowa got the most rain from showers late last night and early this morning. The National Weather Service says western Iowa's Carroll County may have gotten the most at nearly one inch. Carroll County also recorded some thunderstorm wind damage, near Templeton. Rainfall totals from overnight showers were less than impressive, given the state's rainfall deficit and drought conditions.
