(Des Moines, Iowa) -- A Des Moines man is facing murder charges in the death of a 15 month-old child.
Des Moines Police say the child was in the care of Brandon Greenup earlier this week after the child's mother went to work.
Investigators say the child suffered inflicted injuries during the night and that Greenup knew the child was having trouble breathing but never called 9-1-1 for help. Greenup was arrested Friday morning, charged with First Degree Murder.
The investigation into the child's death is continuing.
