COGGON, Iowa -- Several police agencies are now involved in a manhunt in Eastern Iowa after a sheriff's deputy was shot late last night.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened at a Casey's in Coggon.
They say the deputy was responding to an armed robbery when he was shot several times. He was airlifted to the hospital in an unknown condition.
The sheriff's office says the suspect left the scene.
They're asking residents to stay in their homes and lock the doors.
