OMAHA, Nebraska -- Storms are making their way East from Wyoming into Western Nebraska.
The National Weather Service is anticipating thunderstorms this afternoon that will reach Nebraska by tonight.
They say wind gusts 50 to 60 miles per hour are possible tonight. The strength of the storm is dependent on the energy and power it's carrying across the panhandle.
Severe weather is possible Thursday including strong wind and large hail.
They say it's unclear what the exact timing will be because the storms are moving across the state from the West.
Severe weather risks Thursday across most of Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa include large hail and damaging winds.
Possible hazards Friday could include wind gusts, hail, and a tornado or two.
It'll be in the 90s today, with a slight chance for rain later tonight.
Saturday is expected to be mostly dry and cooler with highs expected in the low 80s.
