(Des Moines, IA) -- A free health care clinic is this weekend, June 26-27 in Des Moines. The Tennessee-based Remote Area Medical clinic will be held at the Des Moines Seventh-Day Adventist church at 2713 Watrous Avenue, on Des Moines south side.

Organizers tell WHO Radio News that services offered include basic health care, vision, and dental services. Dental services include cleanings, fillings, extractions and x-rays.

No ID is required and patients can begin lining up at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, June 26th. Those seeking dental care are encouraged to arrive early. Similar clinics offered by RAM in other cities in the U.S. have attracted tens of thousands of people.

RAM hosts free pop-up clinics throughout the United States to underserved and uninsured individuals. According to its website, the organization has nearly 173-thousand volunteers, licensed dental, vision, and medical professionals, who have treated nearly 864,000 people, providing more than $174 million in free care.
