QUAD CITIES, Iowa -- Areas East of the Mississippi River are under a flash flood watch through Tuesday.
The National Weather Service says starting today rounds of thunderstorms could bring one-to-three inches of rain per hour.
Areas east of the Mississippi River are at the highest risk for flash flooding.
Places like Lincoln, Illinois, are under a River Flood Warning.
Potential affects of the rain could be quickly rising streams and creeks, and ponding water.
