Iowa DOT worker spots injured eagle

(Undated) -- A bald eagle, found injured in a northeast Iowa ditch is on the mend. The Iowa Department of Transportation says District Maintenance Manager Randy Taylor spotted it while driving on U.S. 63 near New Hampton. He contacted the Chickasaw County Sherriff who contacted a raptor rescue to capture the eagle and take it to a rehabilitation center.

The DOT posted the photo on social media.
