(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- One man is dead and two women are injured after Cedar Rapids crash. Police say a Chevy Trailblazer driven by a La Porte City man crashed at I-380 and the Highway 30 southbound off-ramp yesterday (Monday) afternoon. Police say the SUV rolled several times and the driver and a female passenger were ejected. The driver, 29-year-old Charles Youchem was flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with life threatening injuries. He died just before 6 a.m. today (Tuesday). The front passenger has been identified as 49-year-old Deanna Fugate of La Porte City. She was taken by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with serious injuries.

The rear passenger has been identified as 18-year-old Jasmine Keister La Porte City. Keister was treated at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital for minor injuries and released.

Police say it appears Yochem was traveling in the off-ramp lane for U.S. Highway 30 trying to merge back onto U.S Interstate 380 when he swerved to avoid another vehicle, and lost control of the SUV.
