(Fort Dodge, IA) -- The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union is extending it's relationship with the city of Fort Dodge for another five years.
"It's an attitude and it's a culture," says Lori Brandhorst, Fort Dodge Parks and Recreation Director. "[The city] has embraced it."
City leaders say the state softball tournament brings in about $1.4 million every year.
This year's tournament starts Monday, July 19th with over 40 teams competing.
