(Greene County, IA) -- A Coon Rapids man is dead after a car vs train crash in Greene County. The Iowa State Patrol says a Toyota Corolla driven by 62-year-old Marvin Lee Krieger collided with a train at County Road P33, south of U.S. 30 around 8:40 this (Wednesday) morning. The intersection is west of Grand Junction, Iowa.
The Patrol says Krieger was southbound and failed to stop for westbound Union Pacific train at the crossing. Krieger was pronounced dead at the scene.
