(Fort Dodge, IA) -- Fort Dodge Police are looking for the driver of a car they say led them on a chase twice last (Tuesday) night. Police say they tried to pull over the driver at 11:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North 22nd Street.
Police say as officers approached the car, the driver sped off going westbound along 7th Avenue North. Officers chased the driver for a while, but lost sight of the vehicle. Minutes later, another officer spotted the vehicle near the intersection of 21st Avenue North and North 14th Court. As the officer approached the driver sped away. Officers chased the driver for a short time through the Round Prairie neighborhood, until it became stuck on an embankment on 9th Avenue North. Police say at that point, the driver got out of the car and ran away. Officers were unable to find the driver.
