(Hamilton County, Iowa) -- No one is hurt after an explosion that leveled a home in Hamilton County Sunday night.
The Fort Dodge Messenger says the explosion happened around 9 o'clock Sunday night, a few miles northeast of Duncombe.
The home's owner, Donald Christopherson, says no one was home at the time of the explosion, which was reported by a neighbor. The neighbor said flames could be seen over the cornfield that separates the two properties. Firefighters from several surrounding towns put out the flames and remained on the scene for about 2 hours.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
