(Des Moines, IA) -- Most splash pools and wading pools in Des Moines have now closed for the season or will soon. The five pools and aquatic centers close Sunday, August 15th. Nahas Aquatic Center will remain open weekends until Labor Day. Public pools in the suburbs are also closing soon.
The last day for the summer season at the Clive Aquatic Center will be Friday, August 20th.
Valley View Aquatic Center in West Des Moines has closed for the season. Holiday Aquatic Center will be open thru Sunday, August 22.
Ankeny will close the Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center August 15th. The Cascade Falls Aquatic Center will remain open daily until August 22nd, then weekends only August 28th to September 6th.
The Altoona Aquatics Park is open through August 22nd.
