(Des Moines, Iowa) -- A man accused of setting his father's house on fire is behind bars.
Des Moines Police say Shane Lorenz was booked into the Polk County Jail Wednesday morning.
Police say Lorenz intentionally started the fire Saturday morning at his father's house on Des Moines' northeast side and left him inside the home. His father escaped out of a bedroom window and suffered minor injuries.
Lorenz is facing charges of attempted murder and first-degree arson.
