Iowa charity delivering supplies to earth-quake damaged Haiti

(Undated) -- The founder of an Iowa charity works in Haiti has delivered food and medical supplies to help victims of the recent 7-magnitude earthquake. Ken De Young, founder of GoServ Global flew to Haiti a few days ago to deliver supplies. The Eagle Grove,Iowa-based charity has also recently raised more than $140-thousand dollars toward relief.

GoServ Global supports five orphanages in the region where the earthquake hit. De Young says fortunately the injuries to children in their care were minor. The death toll from the earthquake has surpassed 2,000.

GoServ Global is known for building hundreds of grain bin style Sukup Safe-T homes in Haiti. De Young says they've weather hurricanes and strong tropical storms and now a devastating earthquake.
