President Biden said over the weekend that we may extend the August 31 deadline to get all Americans and the Afghanis who want to leave, out of Afghanistan.

But the people who are really in charge of our ongoing humiliation - the Taliban - said no.

According to Reuters, just hours after the President spoke, two Taliban sources told the news agency that there will be no extension of the exit deadline for American troops.

Considering we don't apparently know how many Americans are in the country, nor how many Afghanis want to leave, that would seem to be a huge problem.

Meanwhile a cable obtained by NBC News said the embassy staff are reportedly "deeply disheartened" by the ongoing effort, while Afghans that assisted the war effort are feeling "a sense of betrayal and distrust in the American government."

Some now are ready for death. “It would be better to die under the Taliban’s bullet” than face the crowds again on said.

What do you think? Will we get all Americans and Afghanis who want to leave, out by the August 31deadline?
