Council Bluffs Mother Suing Iowa for School Mask Mandate

(Polk Co., IA) -- A Council Bluffs mother is suing the State of Iowa over its school face mask mandate ban. Fran Parr filed the lawsuit in Polk County Wednesday. Parr says her kids are likely to get sick if they have to attend school with students who are unmasked and unvaccinated. Parr wants a universal mask mandate for schools until state law is changed to allow school districts to make their own mandates. She also demands the Iowa Department of Education issue a mask mandate for schools, but the department says it won't.
