(Anamosa, IA) -- An inmate who killed two workers at the Anamosa State Penitentiary has been sentenced to life in prison.
Thomas Woodard Jr. pled guilty to first-degree murder, kidnapping, and attempted murder.
29-year-old Michael Dutcher was the other man involved in the killings of correctional officer Robert McFarland and nurse Lorena Shulte.
He will face his bench trial in September.
