Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts announces hospital procedures as the state deals with COVID-19.

Ricketts says the state is again setting up a transfer center to help manage hospitals and hospitalizations.

The governor says the transfer center will make it easier to move patients and free up beds in intensive care units.

A week ago he declared a staffing emergency.

Nebraska officials said the state was partnering with Nomi Health to assist with helping patients in need find a transfer to a hospital within the state that can provide care.

That service is expected to be operational on Saturday.
