(Undated) -- Iowa environmental leaders are pushing to use wood from trees that have been cut down for more than just firewood or mulch.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says it's working to turn trees into furniture such as tables or mantles.

The wood is being sold at Habitat for Humanity Re-stores in Des Moines and Urbandale.
