(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa State Patrol's releasing numbers today (Tuesday) from the Labor Day holiday weekend. Troopers cited more than 24-hundred speeders. There were 30-crashes, including five fatal crashes, with six people killed. Seven people were injured in crashes over the holiday weekend. Troopers cited 29-people for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The Iowa State Patrol reported 3,147 total stops, 127-seat belt violations, and made six felony arrests.
The ISP reports 61 commercial motor vehicles enforcement/inspection stops.
