(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and 25 other Republican governors are asking for a meeting with President Joe Biden, to discuss the U.S. southern border.

The governors signed a letter to the White House, citing concerns about the flow of migrants and illegal drugs over the southern U.S. border. Governor Reynolds' office says Iowa law enforcement is seeing a big increase in the amount of drugs seized, including meth and fentanyl.

The governor's office says between January and June of this year, law enforcement seized more than 6,000 grams of fentanyl, a 1,070% increase from the same period last year.
