(Undated) -- Baseball Hall of Famer Frank Thomas has purchased a controlling interest in Iowa's Field of Dreams movie site, in Dyersville. Terms of the sale have not been made public. The iconic movie site hosted it's first Major League game this summer, between the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox.
During a news conference this (Thursday) afternoon at the movie site, Thomas said it's his intention to honor and celebrate the movie site and preserving it, while considering the site's long-term viability. Thomas, also borrowed part of line from the script in the movie, spoken by actor James Earl Jones "people will come, people will most definitely come."
