(Iowa City, IA) -- The Iowa Hawkeye football team is up to second overall in today's coaches poll. After defeating #4 Penn State 23-20 on Saturday, the then-ranked 3rd Hawkeyes moved to 6-0 on the season.

Under Head Coach Kirk Ferentz, this season marks the third time the team has started the season 6-0.

The top-5 matchup was the first of its kind in Kinnick Stadium since 1985, where #1 Iowa downed #2 Michigan. Similarly, Iowa moves into the top-2 of the coaches poll for the first time since 1985.

The #2 Iowa Hawkeyes stay in Iowa City this Saturday to take on the Purdue Boilermakers.
