The search is on for vandals who destroyed a large scale pumpkin display at Village Pointe mall. The display has been a mainstay in the Fall for more than ten years, but vandals struck in the overnight hours on Monday.
The mall says more than 100 pumpkins from their pumpkin “tree" were smashed around the display.
Alicia Peters, General Manager of Village Point, tells WOWT 6 News that this is the first time the "Pumpkin Tree" display has been damaged in its 10-year history.
The mall is set to host the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee on October 23rd.
Peters says, "[The mall is] waiting on pumpkins to arrive to replace them and we will try to get it back [to where it was]."
