(Des Moines, IA) -- Supply chain issues are slowing the arrival of hundreds of musical instruments, ordered by the Des Moines Public School District. The district says participation in music programs has been rising, and there are currently 300-students on a waiting list for instruments. The district is asking for donations of gently used, portable instruments.
Those willing to donate can contact the district or the Des Moines Education Association.
Here are the instruments the music department still needs to put into the hands of students:

- Alto Saxophones
- Baritone
