DES MOINES, Iowa -- Drought conditions are easing slightly in some parts of Iowa.
This week's National Drought Monitor map shows a reduction in severe and moderate drought conditions in Eastern Iowa.
There's still a large area of severe drought in Central Iowa, with smaller areas in the eastern and western parts of the state.
Iowa's four corners and Southern and West Central parts of the state are the only areas without drought.
The map shows drought or near-drought conditions across nearly 80 percent of Iowa.
