(Des Moines, IA) -- A woman in Des Moines is arrested for recklessly shooting a gun. Police say 23-year-old Sophia Garcia left a bar downtown early Friday morning with a guy she met there. The guy reportedly showed her the gun in his car. When they drove off she unexpectedly grabbed the gun and began shooting it out the window. A police officer saw the muzzle flashes and heard the gunshots and pulled the car over on 2nd Ave. No charges have been filed against the guy but Garcia is charged with reckless use of a firearm and possession of cocaine.
