(Des Moines, IA) -- A new monument is coming to Des Moines's Waveland neighborhood to commemorate the electric streetcars that used to run in the area. The Waveland Trolley Loop will feature a streetcar sculpture and walking path around the original trolley loop on University near Waveland Golf Course. The Des Moines City Council will have to give final approval to the monument in the future.
