(Undated) -- Police officers in Iowa are giving drivers tips on how to keep trick-or-treaters safe this weekend.
"We want pedestrians to be aware of vehicle traffic and vice versa," says Luke Figie with the Davenport Police Department. "[We want] vehicles aware of pedestrian traffic, especially with the younger pedestrians out."
Local police are recommending to dress kids in bright colors with reflective tape. The FDA also says parents should not let children eat any candy that isn't factory packaged.
