(Undated) -- The deadline is here for health care workers in Iowa to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or lose their jobs. MercyOne, Broadlawns Medical Center, and UnityPoint Health told their employees back in August they needed to get vaccinated by November 1st, 2021. A new state law makes it possible for employees to opt out for medical and religious reasons. It also makes it possible for people who lose their job because they're not vaccinated to file for unemployment benefits.
